Here I Stand
« on: October 26, 2010, 06:19:12 AM »
I went to see Jet Harris the other night. Jet was the original Bass player with the UK group The Shadows back in the 60's. He was the first guy in the UK to have an electric Bass. At 71 he still  tours constantly playing Bass and guitar, even though fighting cancer. One of my Guitar hero's,
So I recorded this tune he wrote in the late 80's, Originally he called Jacqueline, he re recorded it in the early 90's and changed its name to Here I Stand.
I met him again after the show and he signed my back plate from my strat.
A Gentle Romantic tune. Both guitars are my Black Fender Stratocaster Deluxe through the Podxt.
Hope you like it.
Steve
