Lonely is the Night
« on: November 04, 2010, 07:41:48 AM »
Found a pretty decent backing track for this classic Billy Squier tune. I used my Kramer Pacer to lay the tracks down for guitar - plugged into my Micro Cube into PC via firewire and used Mackie Tracktion for mixing.

Excellent bro and great backer. Guitar sounds really meaty and you nail the tone. Always like d this tune too.

Thanks, Johnny. I did this in 20 minutes about an hour ago :) I was actually watching VEVO and heard the tune. It stuck in my head this morning so I looked for a backing track and plucked away.  ;D

Sweet man... guitars sound dead on!  Always love the Billy Madison movie when he pulls up to his first day of HS with the old school firebird and this pumping.  Always wanted to do a re-hash of this with a little more hard rock sound, but could never find a BT for it to re-work.  No midi's anywhere.  Great stuff, nicely done!

Nice job Sting!  I'm not gonna download the backer though....too much real guitar playing skills involved.  Great sounding guitars man, very nice!

I don't think I've ever heard this tune before but it sounds like you got everything down. I'll have to check out the original. Nice job!
